INTERESTING FACTS AND ALL KINDS OF SMART THINGS THAT I CONSIDER SMART

This is a collection of things that seem interesting or cool, but I use the internet (not TikTok) to look up information. I’m just posting them here because I feel like it. And maybe you’ll find them interesting too!

1.ARE OUR IDOLS AND IDEALS NOT PURELY WHITE?

Many different statues made of various materials have survived to this day. We have figurines from Egypt, we have a Venus from ancient times, and we also have Greek statues. Greece is generally considered one of the most important civilizations for science, philosophy, and technology, but it fell to the Ottoman Empire due to its own internal problems and conflicts (to put it briefly). Not many things from there have survived to us, and there are objects whose meaning we have absolutely no idea about, or things that have been lost forever to such an extent that we will never know either! It’s terrible. But people of the past and present enjoy and marvel at the remnants of this greatness and are fascinated by life in Ancient Greece: the gods, homosexuality, and of course art. And the coolest statues!Movies, photographs, archaeological sites, paintings, and of course museums—we see this white color everywhere... but...NO!!!!!!!!

No more bleak white—only vibrant hues and a passion for color! Delightful!

Actually, the statues are colorful! They contain tiny particles of pigment: they have colored hair, bright clothes, and colorful patterns!Imagine what our food or culture would be like if we saw colorful and vibrant Greeks? The same goes for buildings, by the way. This fundamentally changes our understanding of the knowledge and ideas about beauty from that era. What’s more, this knowledge and these theories have been around for a long time, but scientists weren’t taken seriously because “well, color is kind of a strange concept.” It’s sad(((

2.THE BIRD WITH SATAN'S LAUGHTER

Birds come in all shapes and sizes, and I consider them to be among the most beautiful and diverse animals on Earth. Their feathers, body types, courtship displays, behavior—whether they fly or not, or maybe even swim? And their songs? Sometimes birdsong in the early morning drives me crazy, or conversely, it relaxes me—it immediately makes me think of a love for the world and nature that we’ve been sorely lacking lately.
